Opening Data Forms in Smart View

From a data form, you can open and work with the form in Oracle Smart View for Office. To open Smart View, you must have it installed. See the Oracle Smart View for Office User's Guide.

When you open a form through Smart View, the form opens in a new tab. If Smart View is not already open, the system launches it before opening the form.

Note:

The form is loaded in Smart View with the POV defined in the form definition. If you made changes to the user POV, they are not reflected in Smart View.

You can work with the form in Microsoft Excel, save the form, and make changes offline while not connected to Oracle Hyperion Financial Management. When you connect to Financial Management, you can send the modified values to Financial Management.

To open a data form in Smart View:

  1. Open a data form.
  2. Click Open in Smart View, or select Actions, and then Smart View.
