4 HFM Linux Installer - Overview

• With the EPM 11.2 release, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) has been supported exclusively on Windows Server. Beginning with release 11.2.23 HFM extends its support to Linux as well. Specifically, it will be available on Linux 8 with both Oracle Database and SQL Server.
• Additionally, HFM can now be installed and configured using a dedicated standalone HFM Linux Installer.
• Beginning with release 11.2.23, existing EPM 11.2.15+ deployments can be completely migrated to Linux 8.

  • Scenario 1: Migrating Financial Management and all EPM Products from Windows to Linux

    HFM supports migration for deployments where both Hyperion Financial Management and other EPM products are hosted on Windows. For instances using HFM version 11.2 on Windows that require Linux support, a full deployment migration from Windows to Linux can be accomplished using the out-of-place migration procedure.   • Scenario 2: Migrating Financial Management from a Mixed OS Environment to Linux

    HFM also supports migrations where Hyperion Financial Management runs on Windows and other EPM products are deployed on Linux, creating a Mixed OS environment. An out-of-place migration process enables transitioning the entire Mixed OS deployment to a new Linux environment. See Upgrading EPM System 11.2.15+ to 11.2.23 (Out-of-Place) for more information.
