Creating Custom Edit Views

Edit views are used to simplify the editing of data that changes frequently, for playing scenarios or to capture last minute information. The saved views can be selected from the Available Views list.

To create edit views:

  1. In an open model, from Task Areas, select Manage Allocations, then Data Entry.

    The Data Entry screen is displayed.


    The Data Entry screen is used to manually add data or edit imported data.
  2. Select the POV for the data to be modified, then click Go Go icon.
  3. Under Stage, select the source stage.
  4. On the Stage Data tab, click Manage Views Manage Views icon.

    The Manage Views dialog box is displayed.


    Use the Manage Views window to create, modify or delete different edit views.
  5. Click Add Add icon.

    Enter a name for the new custom view, and then click OK.
  6. In the Create View dialog box, enter a name for the new view, and then click OK.
  7. Under Measures, select one or more measures that are to be included in this view, and then click Add Add arrow to move the measures to the Selection list.
  8. Perform one of the following actions:
    • To temporarily save the edit view for a one-time use, click Apply.

    • To save the edit view for multiple uses, click OK.

      The name of the new Edit View is added to the Available Views list.
