Importing Data from a File
To import data, the load dimension must be selected in the Dimension list.

Dimension to Import |
For a Planning data import format, select the dimension into which to load data, whose member fields correspond to the header record in the data file. This dimension must exist in the application. |
Plan Type |
For an Essbase data import format, select the plan type into which to import the data. |
Data File to Import |
Specify the data load input file which contains a header record and data records. |
Driver Member Specification |
For a Planning data import format, enter the driver members specified for the import dimension. If you leave this field empty and you specified import and driver members on the Data Load Administration window, those settings are used for the import. Conversely, values that you enter here override those on the Data Load Administration window. |

Clear Essbase Data |
Clears an Essbase block before performing an import. For example:
Note: If a data value exists in a cell and the imported data does not have a value for that cell, the existing data is not overwritten. To overwrite existing data with a #missing value, the data block must be cleared first (all cells will be #missing) and then data should be imported into these cells. |
