Installing a Pre 11.1.2.5.510 Version of Smart View

If you have installed Oracle Smart View for Office 11.1.2.5.510 or later, and you want to go to a pre-11.1.2.5.510 version, you must first perform these steps to remove the Oracle BI EE extension installation:

  1. In the Smart View ribbon, go the Options dialog box, Extensions tab, and click the Check for Updates, New Installs, and Uninstalls link.

  2. Locate the Oracle BI EE extension in the list, and clear the Enabled check box.

  3. Click Remove.

  4. Close and restart Office to verify that the Oracle BI EE extension is removed from the list in the Extensions tab.

  5. Close all Office applications.

  6. Uninstall Smart View from the Windows Control Panel.

  7. After installing a pre-11.1.2.5.510 version of Smart View, go the Options dialog box, Extensions tab, to verify that the Oracle BI EE extension is enabled.
