Understanding Custom Password Reset Notification Templates
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne uses Work With Media Object Templates (P98TMPL) to store and generate the content of password reset notification, password expiry notification, and password reset confirmation emails. To determine which template to use for each email, EnterpriseOne reads a soft coding record in Soft Coding Records application (P954000) that maps each password reset email task to a media object template. At runtime, EnterpriseOne retrieves the mapped template, and sends the email notification.
Media object templates can include non-English content. The system does not automatically translate email content. To provide localized email notifications, administrators must create and maintain email templates in the required languages and configure soft coding records accordingly. The system sends the email content from the template that is mapped by the applicable soft coding record.
