Understanding the Staff Utilization Chart

You can use the Staff Utilization Chart program (P48001X) to view a chart of scheduled and available crews, crafts, and resources by date or date range. The chart is based on data from the Resource Assignment (F48311) and Work Order Routing (F3112) tables.

The chart displays colored bars for the scheduled and available resources for the time period specified. Availability appears in green bars and scheduled staff appear in blue bars. If resources are overscheduled, the overutilization is shown in a red bar. The number of hours available, scheduled, or overscheduled is indicated by numbers on the bars.

You can click a day's bar in the chart to view the work orders associated with the day's tasks. The chart uses the start and end dates from the F3112 table to determine which tasks to show. If the task is scheduled for a date that is past the end date in the F3112 table, then the work order does not appear when you click the bar. For example, if a work order has an end date of Sept 23 in the F3112 table and you assigned the work order through Sept 30, then the work order does not appear when you click the dates 24–30.

You use filters in the left pane to specify which records you want to view. See Filtering by Resources.
