Updating the EnterpriseOne ADF Foundation Component and Security Settings (Tools Release 9.2.26.5 and later)

Prerequisites:

  • Before updating the ADF Foundation component, ensure that the latest Server Manager Management Agent software has been deployed.
  • Deploy the ADF Foundation component only through Server Manager. Server Manager is required to correctly manage and synchronize the JDE SECURITY and JDE NETWORK configuration values that are introduced or updated as part of the deployment process.

Use this procedure to update the EnterpriseOne ADF Foundation component and configure the Security Server and JDENET settings for an existing ADF Server instance.

Note: The JDE SECURITY and JDE NETWORK configuration options described in this section are available beginning with EnterpriseOne ADF Foundation 3.0.0.
  1. In Server Manager, select the ADF Server instance that you want to update.
  2. In the General section, under Software Component Version, click Change.
  3. In the Change Tools Release window, select the latest available ADF Container Foundation component, and then click Change Component.
  4. In the Configuration section, select Advanced from the View drop-down list.
  5. Select JDE Security, and then enter the appropriate values in the following fields. Click the Information (i) icon next to a field to view additional information about that field.
Important: Ensure that the ADF Security Server configuration values match the corresponding HTML Server instance configuration values. Matching configuration values are required for successful ADF-to-JAS handshake processing.
    • Security Server Count
    • Primary Security Server
    • Secondary Security Server
    • Third Security Server
    • Fourth Security Server
    • Fifth Security Server

Specify the number of Security Servers in your environment. Enter the primary Security Server, followed by any additional Security Servers, as applicable. For any unused Security Server fields, enter NONE.

  6. Click Apply.
  7. In the Configuration section, select JDE NETWORK
    • Security Server JDENET Connect Port: Enter the JDENET port number used to connect to the Security Server.
    • ADF Server JDENET Listen Port: Enter the JDENET port number on which the ADF Server listens for incoming connections.
  8. Click Apply.
  9. After making these settings, restart the ADF Server instance to synchronize the configuration.
Note: Specify values appropriate for your environment. The ADF Server uses the Security Server and JDENET settings to retrieve the EnterpriseOne site key. The site key is not stored in the jas.ini file.
