JD Edwards Orchestrator: REST connector

Note: Starting with this revision of the guide, the IoT Orchestrator is now simply referred to as "Orchestrator." Although the Orchestrator is an integral part of an IoT configuration with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, the Orchestrator functionality has expanded to support various integrations including integrations to Cloud services, third-party applications, custom programs, and many more. Keep using it for integrating JD Edwards EnterpriseOne with IoT devices. But start using it for all you REST-based integrations to JD Edwards.

In the Orchestrator Studio, you can create a connector to a REST service to enable outbound REST calls to external systems as an orchestration step. For example, an orchestration could make a REST call to a Cloud service and use the data in the response in subsequent orchestration steps.

See the following topic in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Orchestrator Guide for Studio Version 8 and Prior:

JD Edwards Orchestrator: Groovy support for custom service requests, custom rules, and manipulating output

In the Orchestrator Studio, programmers can use the popular and powerful Groovy scripting language for orchestration rules, service requests, and to manipulate the output of an orchestration. For example, a programmer could write a Groovy script to create a rule with complex calculations.
