Additional Steps for Developer Testing (Tools Release 9.2.5.x)

  1. Create a new Sandbox data source.
  2. Create security overrides for developer sign-on IDs with connection to the Sandbox as the Owner, for example TCDTA.
  3. Create a personal OCM mapping for the table you are changing, pointing to the new table conversion Sandbox data source.
Note: The default table mapping must still be Business Data – TEST, as the table conversion Sandbox data source will have a small subset of tables.
  4. Generate new tables in the Sandbox data source.
  5. Copy tables from Business Data – TEST to the Sandbox data source for testing.
Note: If the new data source is in a non-IBMi database that is different from the database where Central Objects reside, the new data source owner must be defined in the Central Objects database. The owner must be able to connect to that database. Without a local database, the Create Table / Create Index process needs to access Central Objects to read the table specifications.
