Before You Begin

This 10-minute OBE shows you how to download the EnterpriseOne package build logs and also access the R9621S and R9622C reports from the Work With Package Build (P9621W) web application.

When a package is built from the web interface for the Enterprise Servers and Development Client, you can click the View Log icon in the P9621W web application to directly check the status and download the server and client logs anytime during and after the package build.

In this OBE, you will:

• Download the package build logs (server logs and client logs) from the P9621W web application.
• View the Server Package Build (R9621S) and Client Package Build (R9622C) reports from the P9621W web application.

Background

Starting with Tools Release 9.2.9.3, you can download the package build logs and also access the Server Package Build (R9621S) and Client Package Build (R9622C) PDF reports directly from the Work With Package Build (P9621W) web application.

Prerequisite

To perform the steps in this OBE, you must have:

• Assembled and submitted the DV920FD package for build using Tools Release 9.2.9.3.

Downloading Package Build Log Files Using the Work With Package Build (P9621W) Web Application

To download package build logs from the P9621W application:

1. Access the Work With Package Build (P9621W) web application.
2. Find and select the package DV920FD (built with Tools Release 9.2.9.3) from the records grid.

   

3. In the Package Build Detail section, click the View Log icon and download the log file PKG_DV920FD_DV920.zip. The system retrieves package logs from the enterprise server and the deployment server, contains them in a compressed file, and then imports them into the EnterpriseOne Software Archive Repository table (F96700R).

   

4. Locate the downloaded compressed file to review the client and server log files.

   

   

   

Viewing Package Build Reports Using the Work With Package Build (P9621W) Web Application

To download client and server package logs after the package build is complete:

1. Access the Work With Package Build (P9621W) web application.
2. Find and select the package DV920FD from the records grid.

   

3. In the Package Build Detail section, click the View Output icon in the grid column to download the corresponding client or server package build report.
