Balance Sheet Case Study Task: Set Up the Statement Definition

Note: Remember to begin the name of the statement definition with your initials so that you do not receive duplicate record errors.

To set up the statement definition, complete the following steps:

  1. From the One View Financial Statements Setup menu (G0916), select Statement Definitions.

  2. Enter (initials) BALSHTBYBU in the Statement Definition Name field.

  3. Enter Balance Sheet by Business Unit in the Statement Definition Description field.

  4. Select Active in the Definition Status field.

  5. Enter (initials) BALSHTBYBU (Balance Sheet by Business Unit) in the Row Definition Name field, or use the Search functionality to search for and select the row definition.

  6. Enter (initials) CURPERCTD (Current Period Cum to Date) in the Column Definition Name 1 field, or use the Search functionality to search for and select the column definition.

  7. Enter (initials) LSTPERCTD (Last Period Cum to Date) in the Column Definition Name 2 field, or use the Search functionality to search for and select the column definition.

  8. Enter (initials) LSTYRBALFWD (Last Year Balance Forward) in the Column Definition Name 3 field, or use the Search functionality to search for and select the column definition.

  9. Change the name of the section to Assets and Liabilities.

  10. Click OK on the Revise Statement Definitions form.
