Consolidated Income Statement Case Study Task: Preview the Statement

Note: You can access an existing layout that was created for the One View Financial Statements feature only by using the Manage Layout option on the Work with Statement Definition form. If you exited the Layout Editor after you completed the last set of steps and need to re-access an existing layout, see Consolidated Income Statement Case Study Task: Accessing an Existing Layout (Optional).

At any time while you work in the BI Publisher Layout Editor, you can preview what your statement will look like in various formats. For example, you can preview the statement in a PDF format or in an interactive viewer.

To preview the Consolidated Income Statement in a PDF format:

  1. Select PDF from the preview drop-down list.

    The list is not labeled. The icon is to the left of the Insert tab on the tool bar.

    Depending on your browser settings, the PDF version of the report appears in a new window or in a new tab.

  2. Scroll through the statement to review the contents and formatting.

  3. Exit the preview by closing the tab or the window.
