Financial Statements Security

The JD Edwards EnterpriseOne system provides multiple levels for securing data. Security can be set up at the system level, in Oracle's BI Publisher functionality, in the JD Edwards One View Reporting module, and in One View Financial Statements (OVFS) programs. The security administrator can use the standard security features, such as user and role security, and object level security, to secure access for the OVFS programs and functionality.

The OVFS feature includes category codes that you can associate with row, column, and statement definitions, and with statement versions. The security administrator can use the category code values to restrict access to specific records within the OVFS database tables.

Caution: The components in the One View Financial Statements (OVFS) feature, such as the applications and database tables, are accessible by all users unless security is set up to specifically exclude users or roles from the components.Generated financial statements are accessible by only the person who generated the statement.
