Prerequisites

Before you begin using the One View Financial Statements feature, verify that:

  • Feature security for ONEVIEW (One View Reporting) and QUERY are enabled in your system.

Although the OVFS feature does not use user defined object (UDO) security, you must enable the ONEVIEW and QUERY features in your system. If your installation of Release 9.2 of the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software is an upgrade from a previous release, the QUERY feature was enabled when the upgrade was installed; your security administration must enable only the ONEVIEW feature. If your installation of Release 9.2 is a new installation, then the security administrator must enable both the ONEVIEW and QUERY features in your system.

See "Managing Security for User Defined Objects" in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Security Administration Guide.

  • The One View Reporting for Financials with the One View Financial Statements feature is installed and enabled in your system.

See JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools One View Administration Guide

  • Oracle's Business Intelligence Publisher is installed on your system and that the approved users are authorized to use the BI Publisher Layout Editor.

  • The users who will work with OVFS financial statements are authorized to work with the applications in the OVFS feature.

You should be familiar with JD Edwards One View Reporting functionality, the use of Query Manager, and how to use BI Publisher Layout Editor. Though the OVFS feature uses modified versions of Query Manager and One View Reporting functionality, being familiar with the basic functionality will help you to understand and use the OVFS feature.

See JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Applications One View Reporting User Guide.

See "Queries" in the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools Using and Approving User Defined Objects Guide.
