Locating Items to View

Access the Where Used Diagram form.

To locate an item, complete the fields in the left panel, and then click Apply:

  1. In the Item Number field, enter an item number.

    This field is required.

  2. In the Branch/Plant field, enter the branch or plant number where the item resides.

    This field is required.

  3. In the As of Date field, enter the date used to filter the bill of material (BOM) for the item that you want to view.

    The items associated with a BOM can change. For example, you might begin using parts from a different manufacturer from a specific date. Use this field to find the association that existed between an item and a BOM on a specific date. If you do not enter a date, the system uses the current date.

  4. In the Potency field, enter a potency to filter the bill of material.

    If a potency is indicated for the item in the item record, then the system displays the potency in this field.

  5. In the Bill of Type field, select the bill type to use to filter the bills of material that are associated with the item that you want to locate.

    The Bill of Type field lists the values recorded in the 40/TB UDC table. The value that you specify in the Default Bill of Material Type processing option field is used as the default value to filter the bill of materials. You can change the value as needed.

  6. In the Grade field, select the grade to use to filter the bill of material.

    The Grade field lists the values recorded in UDC table 40/LG.
