Process

These processing options control whether the system generates a routing when you create a parts list and whether the system copies component text. They also control substitute and commitment processing.

1. Routings

Specify whether the system generates routings when a parts list is created for a work order. The system adds routing information to the F3111 table. Values are:

Blank: Do not generate.

1: Generate.

2. Substitute Processing Method

Specify the substitute processing method that the system uses when attaching a parts list to a work order. Values are:

Blank: Do not use substitutes for shortages.

1: Use substitutes for shortages.

2: Display the Substitute Availability form when substitute quantity can cover the shortage.

3. Commitment Processing

Specify whether the system generates component commitments based on commitment control settings stored in the Manufacturing Constants table (F3009) when the parts list is attached to the work order or it bypasses commitment processing. Values are:

Blank: Use commitment control settings in the F3009 table.

1: Bypass commitment processing.

4. Component Generic Text

Specify whether the system copies the text attachment for a component line item to a work order parts list. Values are:

Blank: Do not copy.

1: Copy.

5. Phantom Operation Sequence Number

Specify how the system displays operation sequence numbers for components of a phantom item. Values are:

Blank: Displays the operation sequence number of the component.

1: Displays the operation sequence number of the phantom (parent) item.

6. Part List Request Dates (Release 9.2 Update)

Specify if the requested dates must be based on the work order start date or the start date of the routing operation consuming the component. Values are:

Blank: Use work order start date.

1: Use operation start date.
