Setting Up TRCs and Mapping Task Categories

Note:

If you are using PeopleSoft Resource Management with the Services Forecasting feature, you must map the task categories that are used in PeopleSoft Resource Management to the TRCs used in the Services Forecasting feature for personal or policy time that is not associated with projects and activities.

EX_TRC_EX

View or create TRCs to classify personal hours.

Task Categories Page

RS_TASK_TYPE

Assign each task category to one TRC per SetID.

Time Reporting Code Page

Use the Time Reporting Code page (EX_TRC_EX) to view or create TRCs to classify personal hours.

Navigation:

Setup Financials/Supply Chain, and then Product Related, and then Expenses, and then Management, and then Time Reporting Codes, and then Time Reporting Code

Note:

You must set up TRCs if you want to forecast personal time. TRCs are not used to forecast project time.

Enter a time reporting code and description. Indicate whether it is used for business holidays.

Important:

Select only one TRC to use for business holidays.

Task Categories Page

Use the Task Categories page (RS_TASK_TYPE) to assign each task category to one TRC per SetID.

Set Up Financials/Supply Chain, and then Product Related, and then Resource Management, and then Calendar, and then Setup Task Categories, and then Task Categories

Note:

This topic is optional. If you are not using PeopleSoft Resource Management to prepopulate forecasts, you do not need to complete the tasks that are discussed in This topic.

Use this page to map task categories in PeopleSoft Resource Management to the TRCs that are used in the Services Forecasting feature if you are using PeopleSoft Resource Management to prepopulate forecasts.

Important:

You must configure forecast time periods before you map task categories to TRCs.
