PeopleTools 8.62 Product Editions and Permitted Features

When you license any PeopleSoft application, you automatically receive a restricted use license to PeopleSoft PeopleTools, as described in the licensing information for your PeopleSoft application(s).

For any customer who is current on maintenance for their purchased PeopleSoft pillar products, they can build custom components using PeopleTools at no additional cost. A customer must purchase a separate Enterprise Development license for PeopleSoft PeopleTools if they choose to build a solution that sits outside of a delivered pillar solution. The PeopleTools Enterprise Development license cannot be used to provide maintenance for PeopleSoft pillar products. Functionality developed by the customer cannot replicate any functionality or functional area that PeopleSoft delivers as a product unless the customer has also licensed the replicated product. Should you choose to purchase a separate license for PeopleSoft PeopleTools as a standalone product (in addition to the restricted use license included with PeopleSoft applications), the following editions are available:

• PeopleTools - Enterprise Development

  Notwithstanding anything in the applicable license agreement to the contrary, PeopleTools - Enterprise Development shall be used solely to develop applications for internal data processing operations. In no event shall the customer market or distribute such applications.

• PeopleTools - Enterprise Development Starter Kit

  Notwithstanding anything in the applicable license agreement to the contrary, PeopleTools - Enterprise Development Starter Kit shall be used solely by 5 named users to develop applications containing no more than a total of 20 components (as defined in the program documentation) for your internal data processing operations. In no event shall you market or distribute such applications.
