Understanding XML Integration

If you use XML, time sent from the TCD is transferred through an active service operation that is automatically sent to the reported time tables. For setup data being sent to the TCD, service operations are transferred as often as you determine them to be published.

To set up XML integration:

1. Ensure that the service operations are active.

   Activate service operations and their handlers, routings, and queues.

2. Make sure nodes have been created on the Nodes component (IB_NODE).

   Each comm server is associated with a node.

3. Ensure that the appropriate ELAPSED_TIME_ADD and PUNCHED_TIME_ADD service operation routings are active for all required nodes on the Routings page in the Nodes component.
