Prerequisites

Ensure that you fulfill these prerequisites before using the PeopleTools Middleware DPK Builder tool:

• My Oracle Support access

  The PeopleTools Middleware DPK Builder tool self-updating feature requires access to My Oracle Support and an active My Oracle Support account. You should have the account ID and password.

• User permission

  The user who runs the PeopleTools Middleware DPK Builder tool must have the correct permissions to execute the tool.

• Python

  The PeopleTools Middleware DPK Builder tool requires Python. The readme includes instructions to source the Python from the existing PeopleTools installation.

  When running the script on Linux, the script user must have read/write/execute permission to the Python directory.

• PeopleTools major release

  The existing environment must be on the same PeopleTools major release as the PeopleTools Middleware DPK Builder tool.

• PeopleTools Minimum Tools (patch) release

  The existing environment must be greater than or equal to the mintoolsrelease specified in the ptmw-manifest file.
