Enabling Auto Apply SVT Versions to Subjects
It describes how CL - Auto Apply SVT automatically applies a site SVT version change to all subjects, with a confirmation prompt and batch-processing locks/restart behavior.
When a Subject Visit Template (SVT) version changes at the site level, Siebel Clinical can automatically apply the new version to all subjects associated with the site. This functionality helps maintain synchronization between CTMS and Oracle Clinical One and prevents integration errors such as visit not found during subject visit processing.
This behavior is controlled by a system preference.
System Preference for Automatic SVT Application
The following system preference determines whether the new SVT version is automatically applied to subjects when the site-level SVT version changes.
| System Preference | Description |
|---|---|
| CL - Auto Apply SVT | Controls whether SVT version changes at the site level can be automatically applied to all subjects associated with the site. |
Preference values include:
- N — No automatic application.
- Y — When the SVT version changes at the site level, the system prompts the user to apply the new version to all subjects.
The default value is N.
User Interaction When Automatic SVT Application Is Enabled
When the CL - Auto Apply SVT system preference is set to Y, the system displays a confirmation dialog when a user changes the active SVT version in the Site Management > Versions view.
The confirmation dialog provides the following options:
| Option | Result |
|---|---|
| OK | Applies the new SVT version to all subjects associated with the site. |
| Cancel | No changes are applied to subjects. |
Concurrency Controls During SVT Batch Application
When the system applies the new SVT version to subjects, certain actions are temporarily restricted to prevent data conflicts.
During processing:
- Actions in the Versions MVG are blocked.
- All SVT-related buttons in the following location are disabled:
Site Management > Protocol Site > Clinical Subject
These restrictions prevent conflicting updates while the batch operation is in progress.
Failure and Restart Handling
If processing is interrupted during the batch application of the SVT version, the system automatically enables the following options after a delay:
- Apply SVT to Selected
- Apply SVT to All
These options become available after the default timeout period of one hour, which is controlled by the Business Component user property.
Users can resume processing by selecting Apply SVT to All. Until processing resumes or completes, SVT version changes in the Versions MVG remain blocked.
