Apply User Time Zone to system.currentTime

Administrators use this system setting to specify the display locations in analyses and dashboards where system.currentTime is formatted in the user's preferred session time zone rather than UTC.

This system setting applies only to analyses and dashboards. It doesn’t apply to workbooks or pixel-perfect reports.

Valid Values

• StaticTextView — In Static Text Views, display system.currentTime in the user's preferred time zone. See About Static Text Views Set Your Preferences.

  Note:

  When you choose to display user-preferred time zones, the data offset defined by the system setting Data Offset for Analyses and Dashboards (if any) is no longer used for system.currentTime.
• <empty string> — Leave blank to use the default behavior in all display locations. The default behavior depends whether you defined a data offset in the system setting Data Offset for Analyses and Dashboards.
  • No data offset: In analyses and dashboards, system.currentTime displays in UTC time in all the text areas that can display system.currentTime.
  • Data offset value set: The system.currentTime is converted based on the data offset value.
