Enable Enhancements to Limit Values By in Workbooks

Administrators use this system setting to specify whether the Limit Values By workbook filter option is determined by the location of the filter within the workbook or the filter scope.

Valid Values

  • On — Enhanced filters behavior. Limits a filter's values by all filters in higher locations or all filters in the same location when they're higher on the drill path or in an unrelated drill path.
  • Off — Old filters behavior. Limits a filter's values by any other filters that are higher on the drill path or in an unrelated drill path, unless the filter being limited has a higher filter scope. Default
