Memory Guard
Administrators use this system setting to determine if Oracle Analytics enforces request-level memory usage limits.
Note:
Oracle recommends that you validate Memory Guard thresholds before the feature becomes enabled by default in a future release. When you enable Memory Guard it provides the following protections:
- Stops memory-intensive or long-running queries that exceed configured thresholds to help prevent broader system impact.
- Returns an error message when a request exceeds the configured thresholds.
- Maintains platform stability under heavy or concurrent workloads by preventing uncontrolled memory consumption from affecting overall execution.
Valid Values
- On — Oracle Analytics stops requests that exceed the configured memory usage limit and returns an error message.
- Off — Oracle Analytics allows requests to continue even if they exceed the configured memory limit. Default
