About Oracle Analytics AI Assistants
AI Assistants provide generative AI capabilities throughout Oracle Analytics Cloud to help users analyze data, build content, develop semantic models, and generate business-friendly descriptions. Each feature is designed for a specific analytics workflow and can be configured independently to use the generative AI service that best meets your organization's requirements.
- Analyze data and create visualizations using natural language.
- Generate descriptive names and metadata for datasets and semantic models.
- Assist with dataset preparation and transformation.
- Produce natural-language summaries and insights from visualizations.
- Generate deeper AI-powered analytical insights.
You can enable or disable each feature independently and assign a specific generative AI model to each one.
Note:
If you disable a feature, it can take up to 10 minutes before it's removed from the user interface.For information about configuring models for individual features, see Manage AI Assistant Features and Models.
Expression Assistant
Generate expressions automatically by typing or speaking a natural language request in the AI Assistant box at the top of the expression builder. For example, you might type "What's the average Wait Time" to automatically generate the expression AVG(Wait Time) and a description.
Workbook Assistant
The Workbook Assistant provides generative AI capabilities that help workbook authors explore data and create visualizations using natural language. Authors can ask questions about indexed datasets and subject areas, generate visualizations, refine results through follow-up prompts, and add AI-generated visualizations directly to the workbook canvas. The Assistant also provides analytical insights to help users discover patterns and trends in their data. See About Oracle Analytics AI Assistant.
Catalog Descriptions
Catalog Descriptions provides generative AI capabilities that generate meaningful descriptions for datasets based on indexed content. These descriptions help users better understand dataset contents and improve discoverability. See Add Metadata for a Dataset Using AI.
Dataset Assistant
The Dataset Assistant provides generative AI capabilities that help prepare data for analysis. The Assistant can suggest descriptive column names and appropriate column data types, reducing manual effort during dataset preparation. See Transform Data Using AI Assistant.
Semantic Modeler Assistant
The Semantic Modeler Assistant suggests clear, meaningful names for logical columns, presentation tables, and presentation columns. Developers can accept the suggested names or modify them to match their organization's terminology, helping create semantic models that are easier for business users to understand and use. Language Narrative Visualization
Language Narratives provide natural-language summaries of visualizations and data. Generative AI enables additional writing tones so that summaries can be tailored for different audiences.
