Register Generative AI Models to Use with AI Assistants

Register the generative AI models that you want your Oracle Analytics Cloud AI Assistants to use. Oracle Analytics Cloud provides access to Oracle-managed generative AI models (Grok and Legacy), and also lets you register custom OCI Generative AI large language models (LLMs) that you've provisioned in your Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) tenancy.

You must first provision a custom model in your OCI tenancy before you can register it as an OCI Generative AI LLM. Only models that are already deployed and available in OCI are available for you to register for use in your AI assistants.
After you register a model, Oracle Analytics Cloud adds it to your Registered Gen AI Services list, where you can view information such as the model type, region, availability, and approximate relative cost. Registered models are available for you to assign to Oracle Analytics Cloud features.
  1. On your home page, click Navigator Navigator icon used to display the Navigator, then click Console.
  2. Under Extensions and Enrichments, click Generative AI.
  3. In Registered Gen AI Services, click Add Custom OCI Gen AI LLM.
  4. In Register Your OCI Gen AI LLM, go to Name and enter a display name for your registered model.
