TLS Connection Mode
Administrators use this system setting to specify the security configuration that's used on external data source connections that use TLS.
This setting applies to connections to both public and private data sources. The setting doesn't apply to Data Gateway-based connections.
Valid Values
- Enhanced —
Use the latest encryption and security configuration for external connections that use TLS.
If you experience issues using TLS to connect to a data source or SMTP server, sign in to My Oracle Support (https://support.oracle.com) and read the article TLS Security Updates for Connections in Oracle Analytics (KB127925). If you're still unable to resolve your issue, log a Service Request with Oracle Support and reset the TLS Connection Mode setting to Legacy while you resolve the issue.
Default - Legacy — Use the existing legacy TLS
connection mode.
Legacy mode is deprecated and planned for desupport in November 2025. Oracle recommends that you switch to enhanced mode as soon as possible and resolve data connection issues (if any) so you can avoid potential connection issues from November 2025.
