Search Syntax for Semantic Model Objects

In the Semantic Model editor, you can search for objects by entering text in a search field. By default, the search finds object names that contain the text you enter.

You can add an asterisk (*) at the beginning or end of the search text to refine your search results.

Search Text	Finds
Sales	Object names that contain Sales.
*Sales*	Object names that contain Sales.
Sales*	Object names that start with Sales.
*Sales	Object names that end with Sales.

For example, enter offices* to find objects whose names start with offices.

This search behavior applies only when you search for semantic model objects. It doesn’t apply to the global Search pane or to searches in tables and lists.
