About Connecting to NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW) for Oracle Analytics Cloud

The NetSuite Analytics connector in Oracle Analytics enables you to work with eligible saved searches in NetSuite Analytics.

After the connection is configured, users can browse the available public saved searches, select a saved search, and use it to create an Oracle Analytics dataset for analysis and visualization. The searches that appear in Oracle Analytics depend on the NetSuite Analytics integration configuration and permissions. Oracle Analytics does not bypass NetSuite Analytics access controls.

Availability

This feature is currently available only to NetSuite Analytics Warehouse (NSAW) customers. If the NetSuite Analytics connector is not visible in your Oracle Analytics environment, contact your Oracle Analytics or NSAW administrator.

Performance Considerations

Complex saved searches may take a long time to run. The connector has a **55-minute request timeout**. If a saved search does not finish within 55 minutes, the Oracle Analytics request times out.

To improve reliability:

  • Split or simplify a large search into smaller searches.
  • Reduce the number of columns returned.
  • Test the saved search directly in NetSuite Analytics before using it in Oracle Analytics.

Default access mode is set to extracted

The access mode for the NetSuite Analytics connector is set to extracted mode to enhance performance and reliability.

Troubleshooting

The NetSuite Analytics Connector is not visible in Oracle Analytics

The feature may not be enabled for the environment yet. Ask an administrator to confirm that it is enabled.

Connection setup fails or the connection cannot be verified

Ask an administrator to verify:

  • The NetSuite Analytics account information is correct.
  • The authentication details and certificate are present and valid.
  • The NetSuite Analytics integration record exists and is enabled.
  • The connector client ID is configured in the Oracle Analytics environment.
  • The configured certificate is the correct certificate and has not been revoked.

An administrator reports that the client ID is missing

The connector client ID is an environment-level setting. Only an administrator can configure or change it. After it is configured, allow the environment configuration to refresh before retrying the connection.

A saved search does not appear in the object list

Check the following:

  • The search is active and public. Private searches are not supported in Oracle Analytics.
  • The search runs successfully in NetSuite Analytics.
  • The search title does not contain `**`, `"`, `\`, or `::`.

The request times out

The connector timeout is 55 minutes. Reduce the search scope or split the search into smaller searches. If a simpler search also times out, ask your administrator to verify the NetSuite Analytics integration and contact support with the search ID and approximate failure time.

Saved-search names and special characters

The following saved searches are not supported and are not visible in the Oracle Analytics object listing:

  • Inactive saved searches.
  • Private saved searches. Oracle Analytics currently supports public saved searches only.
  • Titles containing two or more consecutive asterisks (`**`).
  • Titles containing a double quotation mark (`"`).
  • Titles containing a backslash (`\`).
  • Titles containing two consecutive colons (`::`).

For the most reliable experience, use a simple saved-search title containing letters, numbers, spaces, or underscores.

If a saved search with punctuation or other special characters does not appear, cannot be selected, or fails during dataset creation, confirm that the search works in NetSuite Analytics, confirm that it is shared with the authorized NetSuite Analytics account and is public, not private, and rename the search with a simpler title.

The search’s display name and column labels may still contain business-friendly text, but simplifying the saved-search title is a useful diagnostic and compatibility step.

What to include in a support request

Include the Oracle Analytics environment, the saved-search name or ID, the step that failed, the approximate time of the failure, and the visible error message. Don't include client secrets, private keys, access tokens, refresh tokens, or passwords.
