About Shared Data Actions

In Oracle Analytics, you can make data actions shareable to reuse them in different workbooks.

To make a data action shareable, you move it to the Shared Actions folder in the Actions pane. This makes it a shared object that’s accessible from any other workbooks that use the same dataset or subject area. This means that you and other authors can use the same data action without having to recreate it.

To use the shared data action in another workbook, the author of that workbook must have Read-Write access to the dataset or subject area.

Because the data action is a shared object, when you modify or delete it, the changes affect all workbooks that are using it. Authors with Read-Write access to the dataset or subject area can also modify and delete shared data actions.
