Specify Limit Values for a Filter Group (Preview)

Configure the Limit Values setting for a filter group as a whole to specify how it's affected by filters outside the filter group.

The Limit Values settings for a filter group function as follows:
  • Default: Functions the same as for workbook, canvas, dashboard, or visualization filters, depending on the location of the filter group.
  • Auto: The filter group is limited by other filters and filter groups in the workbook that are higher on a drill path.
  • None: The filters in the filter group aren’t limited by other filters or filter groups in the same filter location in the workbook. They’re still limited by other filters or filter groups in higher locations.
  • Custom: The list of filters available to choose from is limited to the other filters and filter groups in the workbook from the same filter location.
  1. On your home page, hover over a workbook, click Actions, and select Open.
  2. Click the filter group to edit it.
  3. Click Limit Values Limit Values icon and select an option.
  4. Click Save.
