Specify Limit Values for Visualization Filters

Configure the Limit Values setting for individual visualization filters to specify how a filter gets its selection values.

The options for this Limit Values setting are:
  • Default - Limits the filter based on the system setting configured by your administrator.
  • Auto – Limits the filter by all filters in higher locations. Also limits the filter by any other visualization filters on the visualization, providing they're on a higher drill path or unrelated by drill path.
  • None – Prevents all other visualization filters on the visualization from limiting the filter's values. The filter is still limited by filters in higher locations.
  • Custom – Lets you choose which other visualization filters on the visualization you want to limit the filter's values by. The filter is still limited by filters in higher locations.

To specify the limit values for selection steps, see Specify Limit Values for Selection Steps. To specify the limit values for filter groups, see Specify Limit Values for Filter Groups (Preview).
