Use Set Parameter Data Actions to Pass Parameter Values

Create Set Parameter data actions when you want to use a data action to set parameter values in a workbook.

When a consumer invokes a Set Parameter data action, whether it's by selecting a data point in a visualization, or clicking a button, their action acts like a selection and sets the values for one or more parameters anywhere those parameters are used on the canvas. A Set Parameter data action can update multiple parameters in a single action. Each parameter can be mapped independently so that it receives values from a different column or from separately configured values.
