What Are Auto Insights?

Use Auto Insights to discover meaningful patterns in your data. Auto Insights algorithms run silently on your data as your dataset is created, identify which columns hold the most meaningful insights, and represent these as Oracle Analytics visualizations in a gallery panel on your canvas.

As a workbook author, you can quickly build canvases by choosing from a gallery of insights built directly from your data. You can also adjust the initial scope of Auto Insights and modify which columns to select and which type of insights to look for. Refining the scope of Auto Insights lets you quickly refresh a set of new insights.

As a consumer, you can view Auto Insights in the Insights panel when the workbook author makes the panel available. You can choose the types of insights to view, but you can't select dataset columns or add suggested visualizations to a canvas.
