Migrate from WSDL-Based to New Salesforce Adapter Connections

Unlike WSDL-based connections, which require regenerating and reimporting the enterprise WSDL after object or field changes, a new Salesforce Adapter connection allows you to simply refresh metadata, eliminating manual steps and greatly reducing integration maintenance.

Key Benefits of the New Salesforce Connection

  • Downloading and importing the latest enterprise WSDL is not required.
  • Simplified metadata refresh.
  • Streamlined integration maintenance.

Migration Steps

  1. Create a new Salesforce Adapter connection.
    1. In Oracle Integration, create a new connection using the Salesforce Adapter. See Create a Connection.
  2. Replace the existing WSDL connection in your integration.
    1. In the navigation pane, click Design, then Integrations.
    2. Select the integration currently using the WSDL connection.
    3. Click Actions Actions icon, and then Configure.
    4. In the Configuration Editor, click Replace Find and replace icon.
    5. Select the new Salesforce Adapter connection you created.
    6. Click Save.
  3. Refresh the integration endpoints:
    1. In the navigation pane, click Design, then Integrations.
    2. Select the updated integration.
    3. Click Actions Actions icon, and select Refresh Endpoints.

A confirmation message indicates a successful refresh.

    4. Once the refresh is successful, activate the integration.
