Before You Install the Recipe
You must perform the following configuration tasks on your Amazon console and Oracle ERP Cloud to successfully connect to these external systems using Oracle Integration.
Access Your FTP Server and Create a Directory
Obtain an sFTP server and ensure that you’re able to access it.
- Log in to the server using your username and password through an FTP client; for example, FileZilla.
- Create a directory on the server to import and archive the files. Note the path of this directory.
For more information, see Prerequisites for Creating a Connection.
Configure Amazon S3
Complete the following configuration tasks to successfully connect to Amazon S3 from Oracle Integration and export FTP files into an Amazon S3 bucket.
- Log in to your AWS Management Console at https://console.aws.amazon.com/.
- Get your AWS access keys.
- In the top navigation bar, choose your username, and then click My Security Credentials from the menu.
- On the Security Credentials page, expand the Access keys (access key ID and secret access key) section.
- Create an access key by clicking Create New Access Key. If the Create New Access Key button is disabled, delete one of the existing access keys and try again.
- Click Download Key File to download the access key ID and secret access key, and save it as a
.CSVfile to a secure location on your computer.
- Set up your Amazon S3 bucket where you want the FTP files to be exported.
- In the AWS Management Console, enter S3 in the search field at the top.
- Select S3 (Scalable Storage in the Cloud) from the search results. The Amazon S3 page appears.
- Select an existing bucket.
- Scroll to the Buckets section. All available buckets are listed under it.
- Select a bucket.
- Alternatively, create and choose a new bucket.
- Click Create bucket.
- In the Create bucket dialog, enter a unique name for the bucket, for example, ap-south-1.
- In the AWS Region field, select a region from the drop-down list.
- Click Create bucket. The new bucket is listed under the Buckets section.
- Select the bucket.
- Note the AWS Region of the bucket. You will need this information when you configure the REST Amazon S3 connection from Oracle Integration.
- Select the bucket.
- Click the Properties tab and note the AWS Region of the bucket.
Configure Amazon SNS
Once the file is uploaded to Amazon S3, an event notification is triggered via Amazon SNS. Creating Amazon SNS Topic ensures that the notifications are seamlessly delivered to all subscribed endpoints.
Note:
While configuring an Amazon SNS Adapter trigger connection in an integration, you must select the topic that supports signature version 2. By default, all topics created in Amazon SNS support signature version 1. You must explicitly make an API call to create/update the topic by setting the following attributes:Attributes.entry.1.key: SignatureVersionAttributes.entry.1.value:2
- Sign in to the AWS Management Console. Choose Amazon S3.
- On the navigation menu, choose Events.
- Choose the Event notification tab, then choose Create event notifications.
- Enter the properties of your event notification such as name, event types, and so on. You can also enable destination, specify and choose the Amazon SNS topics to get notified of events.
- Choose Create event notifications to create your notification.
Configure Oracle ERP Cloud
To access the Oracle ERP Cloud instance from Oracle Integration, you’ll require a separate user account on Oracle ERP Cloud.
- Create a user account for Oracle Integration. Make a note of the user name and password you set for the account. You’ll use the credentials of this user account to connect to Oracle ERP Cloud from Oracle Integration.
- Assign the following roles to the user account. For more information on these roles, see Assign Required Roles to an Integration User.
- Integration Specialist
- Oracle ERP Cloud specific data access to the integration user
