Observe Autonomous AI Database on Dedicated Exadata Infrastructure with Database Management Service

APPLIES TO: Applicable Oracle Public Cloud only

You can use Database Management Service to observe the health of a single Autonomous AI Database or a fleet of Autonomous AI Databases.

The Diagnostics & Management features available in the Database Management service assist with advanced monitoring and management of Autonomous AI Databases. Using a private endpoint, you can configure network access between Database Management and an Autonomous AI Database and use features such as AWR Explorer, SQL Tuning Advisor, and Performance Hub - Top Activity Lite.

Before you enable Database Management Diagnostics & Management for Autonomous AI Databases, you must:

Note:

Certain metrics and Performance Hub features continue to be available free of cost for Autonomous AI Databases. However, you must enable Database Management to use the advanced monitoring and management features, which are available at an additional cost.

For information on how to enable Database Management Diagnostics & Management for Autonomous AI Databases, see Enable Diagnostics & Management for Autonomous AI Databases.

After enabling the Diagnostics & Management features in Database Management, you can use the full suite of available capabilities to monitor and manage a single Autonomous AI Database or a fleet of Autonomous AI Databases. Here are some of the important performance monitoring and administration-related features:

  • Database fleet overview to monitor multiple databases in one location
  • Performance Hub for real-time monitoring of the database workload
  • AWR Explorer to visualize AWR data over time
  • SQL Monitoring to view top and current running SQL statements with detailed execution statistics
  • SQL performance tuning to optimize database performance
  • AWR and ADDM reports for in-depth performance analysis
  • User administration to track configuration and details of database users
