View Cluster Component Status

Administrators can view information about the components and services running on a cluster and their associated state.

To view component status:
  1. Open the cluster console for the cluster. See Access the Big Data Cloud Console.
  2. Click Status.

    The Status page is displayed, listing all services running on a cluster and their status. For information about the details on this page, see Big Data Cloud Console: Status Page.

  3. Click the Services tab to see a list of all components on the cluster, or the Hosts tab to list the components by each host (node) on the cluster. Use the Filter box to filter as desired.

    There are two possible states for components and services: INSTALLED and STARTED.

    INSTALLED means a service is stopped and not running, and STARTED means a service is running. Note that some components on the cluster are never started and are only installed, for example client libraries such as HDFS_CLIENT.
