Download (Sync) Files

Files that you download (synchronize) with Oracle Content are available even if you aren't connected to the Internet. For example, maybe you're going on a business trip and you want to view or edit a file while offline (say, on an airplane flight). By synchronizing the file, you can be sure that you can access the file regardless of your connectivity. When you sync a file, it's downloaded to a secure area within the Oracle Content app, and you can access it from within the mobile app, even if you're not connected to the cloud. For security reasons, it's not accessible outside the Oracle Content app, so you won't find it in your regular Android download folder or other folder on your device. You control how and when the local copy is kept up to date to ensure you have the latest version.

  1. Find the file you want to synchronize.
  2. Tap the More menu icon and then View Properties.
  3. Tap Sync.

To see a list of all synced files, tap the header menu on the Documents page header and tap Offline.

To remove a synced file, long-tap the file, select it, and then tap the delete icon.

To immediately synchronize your selected files:

  1. Tap Offline in the filter menu under the header.
  2. Tap the sync icon.

The files in the Offline area are updated to match the latest versions in the cloud. You can also tap the More menu icon on the Offline screen, and then choose to unsync all files listed. Or you can tap the More menu icon for an individual file and choose Unsync from the menu. If you unsync a file, its local copy is removed from your device. It remains untouched in the cloud.

You can have your files synchronized automatically:

  1. Tap More icon in the navigation panel.
  2. Tap the account name with the files you want to keep synchronized, then tap Synchronization Settings.
  3. Choose how to auto-synchronize and how often.
