The information provided in this guide applies to Oracle Database 19c Release 26 (19.26) and earlier releases.

For Oracle Database 19c Release 27 (19.27) or later and Oracle Database 23ai Release 8 (23.8) or later, Oracle recommends that you use the simplified procedure to set up the Oracle Database Backup Cloud Service, as described in the Oracle Database Backup and Recovery User's Guide.
