Managing Project Announcements

Project Announcements are messages that you want to be visible on the Project Home page above the Recent Activity feed.

You can view or edit an announcement from the Project Settings: Announcements page.

Creating an Announcement

You can create an announcement from the Project Settings: Announcements page.

To create an Announcement:
  1. In the navigation bar, click Project Settings.
  2. Click Announcements.
  3. In the Announcements page, click + New Announcement.
  4. Enter details in the Create Announcement page.
  5. Click Done.
If the Active check box is selected, the announcement appears in the Announcements section above the Recent Activity Feed of the Project Home page in the order of their creation or updates, that is the last created or updated announcement appears at the top.

Viewing or Editing an Announcement

You can view or edit an announcement from the Project Settings: Announcements page.

To view or edit an announcement:
  1. In the navigation bar, click Project Settings.
  2. Click Announcements.
  3. In the Announcements list, click to select the announcement that you want to view or edit.
    All announcements of the project are listed along with their icon.
  4. In the Announcement section on the right side of the list, complete the elements.
The changes made to the fields are saved immediately when the focus moves out of the field component.

Deactivating or Activating an Announcement

You can deactivate or activate an announcement from the Project Settings: Announcements page. The deactivated announcement is not visible in the Announcements section of the Project Home page.

To deactivate or activate an announcement:
  1. In the navigation bar, click Project Settings.
  2. Click Announcements.
  3. In the Announcements list, click to select the announcement that you want to deactivate or activate.
  4. Click Deactivate to deactivate the selected announcement. The announcement is not removed, but is also not visible in the Announcements section of the Project page.

    A deactivated announcement appears greyed in the Announcements list. To activate an announcement, select it from the list, click Activate, and make it visible in the Project page.

Copying an Announcement

You can copy an announcement and create another from the Project Settings: Announcements page.

To copy an announcement:
  1. In the navigation bar, click Project Settings.
  2. Click Announcements.
  3. In the Announcements list, click to select the announcement that you want to copy.
  4. Click Copy Announcement to create another announcement with the content and icon of the selected announcement.
  5. In the Create Announcement page, provide a name to the announcement, edit the content as required, update the icon image if required, and click Done.
The copied announcement appears in the Announcements list.

Deleting an Announcement

You can delete an announcement from the Project Settings: Announcements page. A deleted announcement can not be recovered.

To delete an announcement:
  1. In the navigation bar, click Project Settings.
  2. Click Announcements.
  3. In the Announcements list, click to select the announcement that you want to delete
  4. Click Delete to delete the selected announcement.
  5. In the Delete Announcement dialog, click Yes to confirm.
