15Five

Before You Begin

Introduction

This document describes how to configure Oracle Identity Cloud Service to provide Single Sign-On (SSO) for 15Five using SAML.

About 15Five

15Five is a performance management platform that combines employee feedback, objectives, peer recognition, and pulse surveys. 15Five has simple yet powerful features designed to help you bring out the best in your people.

After integrating 15Five with Oracle Identity Cloud Service:

  • Users can access 15Five using their Oracle Identity Cloud Service login credentials.
  • Users can start 15Five using the Oracle Identity Cloud Service My Apps console.
  • Admins can assign and revoke user access to the 15Five app using the Oracle Identity Cloud Service administration console.

What Do You Need?

  • An Oracle Identity Cloud Service account with authorization rights to manage apps and users (Identity Domain Administrator or Application Administrator).
  • A 15Five account with authorization rights to configure federated authentication.

Configuring the 15Five App in Oracle Identity Cloud Service

Use this section to register and activate the 15Five app, and then assign users to the app.

Prerequisite Step

A domain name is required before you can register and activate the 15Five app. You obtain that domain name from 15Five.

The 15Five domain name appears in the 15Five home URL: https://<Domain_Name>.15five.com.

Registering and Activating the 15Five App

  1. Access the Oracle Identity Cloud Service administration console, select Applications, and then click Add.

  2. Click App Catalog.

  3. Search for 15Five, and then click Add.

  4. In the App Details section, enter your 15Five Domain Name, and then click Next.

Note: This is the domain name that you obtained in the "Prerequisite Step" section.

  5. Click Download Identity Provider Metadata.

Tip: Use this file later during the 15Five configuration in the "Configuring SSO for 15Five" section.

  6. Click Finish. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a confirmation message.

  7. Click Activate, and then click Activate Application. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a confirmation message.

Assigning Users to the 15Five App

  1. On the 15Five app page in Oracle Identity Cloud Service, select Users, and then click Assign. The Assign Users window appears.

  2. Select users that you need to assign to 15Five, and then click OK. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a confirmation message stating that the 15Five app is assigned to the users that you selected.

Note: The 15Five app can be accessed by a user who is assigned to the 15Five app in Oracle Identity Cloud Service, even if the user doesn't have a 15Five account.

Configuring SSO for 15Five

  1. Access 15Five as an administrator using the URL: https://<Domain_Name>.15five.com. The 15Five home page appears.

  2. In the upper-right corner, click the user drop-down list, and then click My account.

  3. Click Single Sign-On.

  4. Click XML Setup, copy the metadata content from the metadata file that you downloaded in the "Registering and Activating the 15Five App" section, and then paste into the text box.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Click Details setup, and then click Enabled radio button.

  7. In the Contact Email field, enter your email address, and then click Save.

Verifying the Integration

Use this section to verify that SSO works when initiated from Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IdP initiated SSO) or from 15Five (SP initiated SSO).

Verifying Identity Provider Initiated SSO from Oracle Identity Cloud Service

  1. Access the Oracle Identity Cloud Service My Profile console using the URL: https://<IDCS-Service-Instance>.identity.oraclecloud.com/ui/v1/myconsole.

  2. Log in using credentials for a user that is assigned to the 15Five app. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a shortcut to 15Five under My Apps.

  3. Click 15Five. The 15Five home page appears.

  4. In the upper-right corner, click the user drop-down list, and then confirm that the user that is logged in is the same for both 15Five and Oracle Identity Cloud Service.

This confirms that SSO that is initiated from Oracle Identity Cloud Service works.

Verifying Service Provider Initiated SSO from 15Five

  1. Access 15Five using the URL: https://<Domain_Name>.15five.com, and then click Sign in using Single Sign-on. You are redirected to the Oracle Identity Cloud Service login page.

  2. Log in using credentials for a user that is assigned to the 15Five app. The 15Five home page appears.

  3. In the upper-right corner, click the user drop-down list, and then confirm that the user that is logged in is the same for both 15Five and Oracle Identity Cloud Service.

This confirms that SSO that is initiated from 15Five works.
