Zinc
Before You Begin
Introduction
This document describes how to configure Oracle Identity Cloud Service to provide Single Sign-On (SSO) for Zinc using SAML.
About Zinc
Zinc connects workers both inside and outside the office, in a secure and compliant fashion. Zinc is a mobile-first solution with lot of security controls and admin levers to help companies manage the implementation.
After integrating Zinc with Oracle Identity Cloud Service:
- Users can access Zinc using their Oracle Identity Cloud Service login credentials.
- Users can start Zinc using the Oracle Identity Cloud Service My Apps console.
- Admins can assign and revoke user access to the Zinc application using the Oracle Identity Cloud Service administration console.
What Do You Need?
- An Oracle Identity Cloud Service account with authorization rights to manage apps and users (Identity Domain Administrator or Application Administrator).
- A Zinc account with authorization rights to configure the federated authentication.

Note: The Zinc app can be accessed by a user who is assigned to the Zinc app in Oracle Identity Cloud Service, even if the user does not have a Zinc account.
Verifying the Integration
Use this section to verify that the initiated SSO works from Oracle Identity Cloud Service (IdP-initiated SSO).
Verifying Identity Provider Initiated SSO from Oracle Identity Cloud Service
Access the Oracle Identity Cloud Service My Profile console using the URL:
https://<IDCS-Service-Instance>.identity.oraclecloud.com/ui/v1/myconsole
.Log in using credentials for a user that is assigned to the Zinc app. Oracle Identity Cloud Service displays a shortcut to Zinc under My Apps.
Click Zinc. The Zinc home page appears.
In the lower-left corner of the home page, confirm that the user that is logged in is the same for both Zinc and Oracle Identity Cloud Service.
This confirms that SSO initiated from Oracle Identity Cloud Service works.
