Manage Project Membership Requests
After you create a project, other users in your organization may ask to join your project using a membership request. You can manage these requests using Requests on the Project Home page Team tab.
When someone creates a membership request (see Request Membership in a Project You Can't Access), VB Studio adds it to the Requests list, and also sends an email to the project owner(s).
You must have the Project Owner project membership to manage membership requests.
-
In the left navigator, click Project Home
.
-
On the right side of the page, click the Team tab, then click Requests to display a list of all of the open membership requests for the project. You can use the Filter Requests box to filter the list based on user name.
- Click a user's Action icon in the Requests list to open the Membership Request dialog for the user.
- You can approve or deny the requested membership role, or select a different membership role. If the Project Owner role is selected, an extra alert message is displayed.
- If you approve the membership request, a confirmation message appears, a notification email is sent to the requester, and the requester is added to the Members list.
- If you deny the membership request, a confirmation message appears, and a notification email is sent to the requester.
- Once you approve or deny a membership request, it's removed from the Requests list. The requester also receives an email notification about the new membership request status.
Note:
If a requester files multiple requests, all of their requests are added to the Requests list. All of these additional requests are removed when one of the requests is approved and the requester becomes a project member.
