About Working with Manual Matches

Here are some noteworthy features of working with Unmatched Transactions:

  • Exporting to .CSV format - If you need to review transactions in more detail, you can export transactions to a .csv format to view in Excel. Also, a Service Administrator can allow other users to delete transactions that may be incorrect.
  • Selecting or Deselecting Transactions - When working with unmatched transactions, you can Use Select All to match on more than 1000 transactions from the list of unmatched transactions or filter the list and then use Select All to match on large numbers of transactions. If you manually select transactions instead of using Select All, you can only select up to 1000 transactions.
  • You can see a count of the total transactions on Unmatched Transactions but can only scroll to a maximum of 50,000 rows at a time.
  • There is an Age column on Unmatched Transactions that displays the age of the transaction based on the difference between today’s date minus the Accounting Date. This feature is useful if, for example, you wanted to sort unmatched transactions by Age so that a preparer could bring the oldest unmatched aged transactions to the top of the list to work on them. Or, conversely, if you wanted to ignore the Aged transactions.
  • You can also create manual matches on both Unmatched and Supported transactions by using the Filter to access transactions in All status.

    Note:

You can also use the Transactions dialog available from the Matching card to see transactions loaded from profiles across different statuses. See Searching Transactions in Transaction Matching
  • When you open a reconciliation, the reconciliation name is displayed at the top-left of the page. Adjacent to the name is a drop-down list that displays the match process that is currently selected. This list contains the match processes available for the reconciliation. Account Reconciliation remembers the match process selection when you leave this page and subsequently return. This functionality is available in the Overview, Suggested Matches, Unmatched Transactions, Matches, and Adjustments tabs.

  • The Matches tab contains the transactions that were matched exactly, either through suggested matches or manual matching. The Adjustments tab contains transactions that were matched with an adjustment. Both these tabs contains filters at the top for Duration and Match Status. The Adjustments tab also contains a filter for Extract Status. The system remembers the selection made in these filters. If you close the reconciliation and then open a different reconciliation, the default selection for the filters will be the ones that were previously selected

  • For Transaction Matching profiles that are integrated with Reconciliation Compliance, the following actions cannot be performed when the accounting date of one or more transactions in the selected match group is lower than the Purge Through Date: unmatch a matched transaction, unmatch an adjustment, delete transaction, or delete supporting details.
