Configure the Connection to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Object Storage (Preview)

After performing the prerequisite steps in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Console, you can set up a connection to the data bucket in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.

  1. In Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence Console, click Enable Features under Application Administration, and select Data Share under Application Settings, and Object Storage Target 1 and Object Storage Target 2 under Connectors.
  2. Navigate to the Manage Connections page in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence and click Create and then click Connection.
  3. In the Create Connection dialog, do the following:
    1. Select Data Publish in Usage Type and click Object Storage Target 1, provide these details, and click Save:
      • Connectivity Type: Standard
      • Notification Email: Enter an email address to receive notifications.
      • Namespace: Enter your tenancy's unique system-generated and immutable Object Storage namespace name.
      • Type: Select OSS_ICEBERG as the table storage format.
      • Compartment OCID: Enter the Oracle cloud identifier of your compartment.
    2. Select Data Publish in Usage Type and click Object Storage Target 2, provide these details, and click Save:
      • Connectivity Type: Standard
      • Notification Email: Enter an email address to receive notifications.
      • Namespace: Enter your tenancy's unique system-generated and immutable Object Storage namespace name.
      • Type: Select OSS_DELTA as the table storage format.
      • Compartment OCID: Enter the Oracle cloud identifier of your compartment.
    3. To verify that the connection is properly configured, view the Manage Connections page, find the connection you wish to test, click the Action menu, then select Test Connection. Note that it may take a few minutes to test the connection. Make sure the Test Connection process completes successfully before proceeding.
