Full Reload

Full reload updates the warehouse data starting with the initial extract date.

It involves:
  • Module Activation: This is done when you activate a module. Activation is typically a one-time activity and might involve activating multiple modules. It can take significant amount of time, even days, depending on the number of modules and other performance related factors. See Activate a Data Pipeline for a Functional Area.
  • Data Reload with Data Maintenance: In some cases, you may need to fully reload data for a specific module even after activating the module. A data reload re-extracts relevant data starting from the initial extract date and loads it into the warehouse, which can take significant time. You can schedule the reload of data for functional areas, custom data configurations, and data augmentations. These reloads run according to the Data Maintenance schedule. Because full reloads can take significant time, you must perform them only for the required modules and ensure that their schedule doesn't interfere with other critical refreshes. See Schedule Data Maintenance.
  • Reset and Reload the Data Source: To discard all the existing data in the warehouse for a specific source and start over by re-extracting the data from the initial extract date, you must reset and reload the data source. Since this is done for all modules and tables for this source, it can take significant time and the system doesn't perform any other refreshes while reset and reload is in progress. See Reset and Reload the Data Source.
  • Reset Warehouse: To discard all the existing data in the warehouse and bring the warehouse to “factory” settings, you can reset the data warehouse. You must reactivate all the data pipelines for all the modules and reload data from the initial extract date. See Reset the Data Warehouse.
