Security Framework Overview

The Oracle E-Business Suite Data Intelligence security model is based on layered, role-driven access control. Security enforcement occurs at multiple levels within Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence to ensure users can access only the data and subject areas that they are authorized to view.

The following diagram illustrates the overall security flow for the Oracle E-Business Suite Data Intelligence semantic model within Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence:

  • Users log into Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.
  • Platform-level access is controlled through Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence system roles.
  • Business and groups define functional access to Oracle E-Business Suite Data Intelligence.

  • Duty roles and data roles further refine subject area access and data scope restrictions.

  • Security policies are enforced within the semantic layer at query runtime.

  • Users receive secured access to analytics, dashboards, and reports.
