Understand the Security Framework

Understand the security architecture, installation process, and security enforcement framework for the Oracle E-Business Suite Data Intelligence semantic model in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.

The Oracle E-Business Suite Data Intelligence semantic model extends Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence by introducing Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA) Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) analytics subject areas into the Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence platform. The security framework aligns with the existing Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence security architecture while supporting additional Oracle E-Business Suite Data Intelligence subject areas and security requirements. The security components of Oracle E-Business Suite Data Intelligence are available in the EBS Security Composite bundle in the Bundle Repository in Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence.

The Oracle E-Business Suite Data Intelligence semantic model uses role-based security including:

  • Object-level security using duty roles

  • Row-level data security using data roles

  • Security assignment extraction from Oracle E-Business Suite

  • Semantic model security initialization

  • Dynamic security filter enforcement

  • Installation and deployment of security components

The goal of the security framework is to ensure that users can access only the following based on their assigned roles and security mappings:
